on Route 366, Nova Scotia's Sunrise Trail.

Directions
We
are located on route 366 in Lorneville, Nova Scotia. When
coming from Amherst, Nova Scotia follow highway
#6, the Sunrise Trail, (Victoria Street) east towards Pugwash. Approximately 2
miles outside Amherst turn left onto highway #366, the Sunrise Trail Costal Route.
The inn is located about 20 miles further along on the left hand side. When
coming from Truro, Nova Scotia, follow highway
#104 from Truro to Oxford. Exit highway 104 at Oxord turning right and entering
the town of Oxford. This street turns into highway #301.Follow #301 until it ends
in Port Howe (across from Chase's Lobster Pound). Here you will intersect highway
#6 (the Sunrise Trail) Turn left on highway #6 west. Follow highway #6 for about
1 mile, then turn right onto highway #366 west (Sunrise Trail Coastal Route).
We are about 15 miles along highway #366 on the right hand side. When
coming from P.E.I. follow highway #16 from
Confederation Bridge to the rotary at Port Elgin. From Port Elgin follow Route
#970 to Sunrise Trail Coastal Route, Nova Scotia. Watch out In Baie Verte. Route
970 takes a 90 degree turn to your left (going straight intersects #16 again).
Remain on route 970 until it ends. At the end of route 970 you will be in Nova
Scotia and intersect route #366 (The Sunrise Trail Coastal Route). Turn to your
left and head East on #366. The inn is about 8 miles on the left hand side. Accommodations
& Dining
Accommodations in the Inn include four
suites, two junior suites and two guest rooms, each individually uniquely
furnished and decorated with a bathroom ensuite, and a panoramic view of the Northumberland
Strait, and New Brunswick beyond. The
Inn also has three cottages for rent. The Inn
Cottage located just down the driveway from the Inn, and two historic seaside
cottages, the Ketchum Cottage and the
CMTR Cottage located about two miles from
the Inn. Fine
dining is a hallmark of the Amherst Shore Country Inn and fresh Nova Scotia
fare is its specialty. The menu changes every evening, and there's always fresh
homemade bread and a selection of quality wines, beers and spirits. These four
course-gourmet dinners are served every night at 7:30 p.m. (by reservation only).
Cocktails start at 6:45 p.m. A
hearty Canadian breakfast is served daily by reservation
at 8:00, 8:30, or 9:00 a.m. in the dining room for inn guests. If you wish breakfast
please make your reservations the preceeding evening.
Features
The
Beach The 600 foot beach is just a short walk down the lane
and then left along a mowed path across a meadow. At high tide we have the warmest
waters north of the Carolinas, at low tide the water can wander out as far as
a mile presenting miles of sand flats to explore. Daily high tide tables are available
in the rooms. The Grounds

Pets are not permitted in the suites or guest rooms. Children
Children are welcome at the Amherst Shore Country Inn in all the rooms except
for suites, which are unsuitable. Please remember many couples at the Amherst
Shore Country Inn are retreating. They are enjoying quiet times alone and away
from their own children. Crying babies, recklessness, and excessive noise by both
children and adults alike can upset other guests. Parking
Free parking is available to our guests on the Amherst Shore Country Inn grounds,
with easy access to either the front door, guest rooms and suites.
