Taste the past in one of Henry Ketchum’s historic waterfront cottages. Ketchum used these cottages while building the Northumberland Terminus of his ambitious railway project. Had Ketchum completed this project, tall ships from Boston or NYC would have had the option of being transported on Ketchum’s railway across the Isthmus of Chignecto instead of taking the long & more dangerous sail around Nova Scotia.

Savour the present. Enjoy a four course dinner for two at the Amherst Shore Country Inn. The inn offers one sitting at 7:30pm. It is served by reservation only.

While over 130 years old the Ketchum Cottages cater to the discerning needs of today’s traveler. Each has a fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher. Both have a dining area and a large living room. Both have a washer & dryer. Each is equipped with WiFi and a flat screen TV.
